Sunday Conversations

A multi-generational in-the-round setting with instruction and plenty of discussion, our Sunday Conversations are a popular part of our worshiping community at Eastminster. We cover a variety of topics, and our current focus is on world religions and what each shares with Christianity and our views of God.

Every  Sunday

11:00 AM
Worship

Our worship services are more traditional, featuring hymns, Biblical preaching, and a welcoming, family atmosphere. Children remain in worship in a specially-designed area where they can draw and play while listening and participating in worship as they wish.
ALL are welcome at Eastminster!

Welcome Home

At Eastminster Presbyterian Church, we welcome all who seek to grow in their faith and find community. Our services and events are open to everyone, regardless of age, race, gender, or sexual orientation.
Join us and find your spiritual home!

Our Worship

Eastminster is a part of the Presbyterian Church USA (PC(USA)). We are "Reformed and
Always Being Reformed."

Our worship is open and accessible to all people, focused on the Triune God, and the message that God has for us today through the Holy Bible.
We worship in a traditional manner, with prayer and hymns, and monthly Holy Communion.
We look forward to worshiping and fellowshipping with you!

Our Teaching

At Eastminster, we teach Jesus's greatest commandment,
to love God and to love your neighbor as yourself.
Our focus is to share God's grace and love with our church family and neighbors in the community.
We strive to always be there for you in your times of celebration and in times of need.
Today's life is difficult, but you are not alone, we at Eastminster are here for you and can show you the love that our savior Jesus Christ has shown to all of us.

Our Commitment

We at Eastminster believe our service is to support our community. We do this by setting examples of how to live your life through Jesus Christ.
We offer many opportunities for our members and guest to experience Jesus and to develop a meaningful relation with our Savior through worship, community mission,
and fellowship.

Our Presbyterian Women in the Congregation group at Eastminster is very active, participating in local and presbytery-wide gatherings, and spearheading service projects including our annual Rummage Sale.

ABOUT US

Eastminster Presbyterian Church was organized on June 6, 1948. In the spring of 1947, Lexington-Ebenezer Presbytery asked Dr. Charles Logan to come to Lexington to undertake the building of a suburban church. The first service was held at Kenwick School (later Julia R. Ewan School and now Lexington Hearing & Speech Center) on August 6, 1947. Two lots were purchased at Liberty Road & Henry Clay Blvd, and in January of 1948, Presbytery provided funds for a temporary building to be moved to the site. Since May 2, 1948, the congregation has worshiped at the current site.
